The 1988 cult favorite hit from Charles and Edward Chiodo, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, has a huge and devout fanbase. In fact, it's a wonder that no one has made a sequel (or even a remake) by now. That could very well be about to change though ...

According to fan site Freddy in Space, a sequel is well in the works. The news broke during an interview with Grant Cramer, who played character 'Mike Tobacco' in the film, who stated that, "We have a script and a commitment for all our funding, but the money can't be spent until we have a distribution deal in place so that's where we are – talking to distributors. As soon as that final piece comes into place, we should be pretty much good to go."

Adding in terms of plot, "Well, I don’t want to say too much about the story at this early juncture, but I will say that it is connected to the first movie and my character will be the mentor to the two new young leads that have to try to save the world from the Klowns when they return," Cramer reveals. "They're also trying to save themselves because the bad stuff the Klowns do at first gets blamed on them."

The Klowns may be returning and I hope that they are because I love that flick. That movie is a classic. I did hear talk of this a few years back and even saw a trailer back then (not sure if it was the same one).

However that is a fan trailer if I ever saw one.

Man i hope this happens. They've been talking about it for twenty something years now. I am a huge killer klowns freak. I'm also pumped for the new don post klown masks. I have all of the bump in the night ones and a deluxe dakside slim. Now i need to get some of those dp ones!
