I hate waiting, but im not in the wrong hobby. Some people dont mind it and see it as being half the fun. well i dont. I dont because im still not over that HHM thing. You dont have to have patience to be in this hobby you have to have courtesy. you can piss and moan all you want to yourslef about wating so long. but it crosses the line when you start bugging the maker about how long it\'s going to take. you do however have probale cause to be concerned after a certain amount of time without hearing anything from the maker. people like justin and terry are good people that have never ripped anybody off. if you have to wait a few months longer then you thought you had to then so be it. it doesnt matter. aultimately you will get your mask and it will be well worth it.

Yeah waiting sucks, but it is the nature of this hobby and can\'t be changed. As long as the perspective mask maker gives you consistent updates on your product the wait isn\'t that bad. If you go months and months witout hearing a thing THEN its get irritating and annoying. When updates don\'t happen you feel very unsatisfied and mad. As soon as you hear an update or you get what your waiting for you feel better and have nothing but praise for the maker.

Basically you wait because your not getting a rushed, made in china, mass produced POS. What Justin and others do is a craft. These things take time and yes the waiting is tough but Rome wasn\'t built in a day. If you don\'t like waiting, then buy an armature, clay, sculpting tools, plaster etc etc and do it yourself. This is what these guys do for a living (most of em) and when they are already swamped with orders on top of order on top of other orders it\'s a first come, first serve basis.

Well, next time, the best you can do is explain your situation to the next person you want to order from, and see if you can arrange to pay when the mask is ready to ship...

I find it that waiting for something you paid for, and something you have yet to pay for, are 2 totally different feelings... I\'m currently waiting on a mask that I ordered back in 2003.. The guy is trustworthy, and my order got forgotten about in the mix of others placing alot bigger orders than mine. But I\'m in contact with him and a friend who is helping, and I\'m totally sure that I will receive my mask..

I collect movie prop replica\'s, not primarilly masks, but its along the same lines, sometimes things take longer to make than others, especially when they are not mass produced

-Another thing along with the wait. You have to factor in that along with the maker being swamped with orders the fact he does- casting himself, painting himself, shipping himself, customr service and emails himself, service of the messages boards between him and the mods. Not only that, you have to factor in family time as well. This is a full time gig for Justin, image how little would go out if it was a 9-5 gig. I understand you have been burned, I am just saying there is a difference between tipical waiting time and being ripped off. If you have waited a month or 2 on a mask, and they answer email they arn\'t on the way to mexico. However, emails going unanswered, months stacking, THATS when you know to be pissed. If you don\'t like the wait at all, and it wrecks your nerves, then buy used.

I hate waiting too. It\'s a pain in the ass. But there\'s degrees of time to wait. 1 or 2 months is standard for many mask makers. I can put up with that OK. But to wait 6 months to a year or more is damn redicilous.
