Not sure if you left this answer in by mistake, but it definately is not true. It\'s a star trek captain kirk mask.

I agree...

From the IMDB: Due to its shoestring budget, the prop department had to use the cheapest mask that they could find in the costume store: a Captain Kirk (William Shatner) mask from Star Trek. They later spray-painted the face white, teased out the hair, and reshaped the eye holes.

But, then again....

From The Easter Egg Archive: The mask of Michael is a William Shatner mask. It is from the movie The Devil\'s Rain. Since John Carpenter was on a small budget he went into a store, bought the cheap mask, painted it white, and changed the hair.

So who knows....
Oh lord, bless this thy holy hand grenade, that it may blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy....\\\"

No dude, it\'s definately not. It\'s a don post 1975 Captain Kirk mask. It was an official liscened mask from the tv series and in 1979 was rereleased because of the Star Trek movie. The rumor about the mask being from devil\'s rain started from that crappy Boogeymen dvd and is completly false if you were to believe it wasn\'t a star trek mask then I guess Terry, Justin, MMP, SSN and so on recasted the wrong mask.

Correction: In Halloween, they needed to find a mask for the main character (Michael Myers), they went to a local hardware store and found a William Shattner mask that was actually used in the 60\'s for a show called "Devil\'s Rain"-they spray painted the face white and teased out the hair - that became Michael Myers.

A misleading question, indeed. Should have phrased it better.
