Ok Now Its Gonna Be A Noob Thread

I was all about this hobby before the internet was a popular thing But I agree with age restriction and then again, I don\'t. There are a few people who are older than 20 who are jackasses, and there are younger people who are cool to talk to. It just depends on the person and how they carry themselves.
Joseph is just a young dude on the boards and he has a right to be here just as much as any of us. But, then again, he should read the rules about posting on this board and post in a mature fashion.
Another point would be, the majority of this hobby deals with movies rated R or worse, so you\'d think the age to be posting here would be 17 or 18. I like the sound of 20 being it, but then again, if I were younger than that, I wouldn\'t like it so much.
I say we give the little guys a chance too, but if they keep pulling constant, annoying and very redundant stunts, we kick \'em to the curb.
And everyone here should support NIGHTOWL dangit.

This has nothing to do with age. Bottom line is it\'s how you conduct yourself.
No one is really upset at JC for his age. It\'s all the threads that start out asking questions that don\'t end in something.

This is a business, a fun business yes and a hobby to some, but ultimately this forum is for us to buy, trade and sell. With some fun stuff thrown in.

Justin started this for us and to help his business.
Let\'s not get things out of proportion and forget that.

I have been at this 16 years and still act like a noob sometimes, but I do deals with people and I contribute. That\'s all anyone here asks regardless of age.

Well, see thats the part that everyone is wrong about. This forum is really for Justin and NIGHTOWL. It is suppose to pertain to NIGHTOWL and all things therein. Instead its become a sort of horror community, hence the closing of the NIGHTOWL classifieds and off topic sections and the opening of Monsters and Madmen. Yeah, this is off topic and thats fine, but the board is for NIGHTOWL and the promotion of that.

Any old time vets on here remember the newbie roasts we\'d have back in the day? Before the new board, when it was only the diehard nuts. All the kiddies were too scared to come post here because they knew they\'d get their ass chewed out if they said something stupid. You\'d read on other boards \'don\'t go to the NIGHTOWL board they\'re mean\' ahh the good ole days, what happened to those?

For the record, age restrictions don\'t work, as some have mentioned, stupid runs the gamit in age groups, as does maturity. I\'ve met 13 year olds with more on the ball then most, and I\'ve also met people well into their 30s who should be forced to wear a hockey helmet at all times, and never be out of supervision.

Bottom line though, rule of thumb on the board I\'ve said I don\'t know how many times now, before you post, and especially make a thread, ask yourself, is this a valid intelegent comment? Or am I wasting board space and braincells by mashing the keys? If it\'s the later, don\'t post.

You nailed it Trav! Good thing Justin has some great mods here. I\'m having to take a break from posting/modding at MM.net b/c of the worthless crap I read everyday and am forced to constantly delete. I swear I have to explain myself for everything I do there... modding will be the death of me one day. NIGHTOWL is much easier going and I\'d like to keep it that way! Its definately not always the young kids that ruin it... its all in the persons etiquette and maturity level on the boards.
