I have never seen the original so I don\'t really know what to compare to... but this movie was pretty decent and has a TX Chainsaw Massacre feel. There are a lot of cat scares and some gory ass scenes! The overall plot was good and acting was believable for the most part. It was cool to see Ted Levine in a horror flick again. The only thing I disliked about the movie was how predictable things were and the ending didn\'t really do it for me... people were actually laughing in the theatre. The Hills characters rocked and I think Justin could make some good $ off making a mask of the guy that carries the axe and maybe another character or two... it fits his style perfectly! Anyway, I don\'t want to give away anything so go see it just for the shock factor b/c there was plenty of it.

Overall, I\'d give it 7/10 stars.

Please post your review of this movie if you\'ve seen it (the remake). I\'m curious to see what others think. It definately was a bloody mess!

I\'m sure that most everyone will enjoy it, I\'m just very critical of new horror films today. The TCM remake was also just "decent" to me, but I loved the kills and some of the shots. I think my expectations are just to high. Saw/Saw II are the only new one\'s I can give high ratings to... loved em both.

I really enjoyed the flick. The only thing that bothered me was the stupidity of the characters, but I suppose that goes on in every horror movie.

Also, I think Chad said it before, I would love to see Justin\'s take on a couple of the characters. I think they would look killer.

I just know Justin has a real talent when it comes to sculpting mutants... look at most of his Jason pieces. He also can capture facial structure and realism like many others cannot. I think his take on Pluto would be awesome!

As soon as that huge frankenstein lookn guy with the brace around his head came on, I immediatly thought of the Mutant. I def. think J could nail this.

I saw it last Friday and really liked it! There\'s definitely a \'70\'s feel to the characters. I don\'t think the family actors were all that good.. but that tends to be a hint towards it\'s \'70\'s feel. Wasn\'t that blonde chick the one from Lost who had the baby? The father was Ted Levine who portrayed Buffalo Bill in SotL... correct?? These mutuants were awesome! My GF loved the guy in the wheel chair.. brilliant! Overall, I think it worked well! Can\'t wait to see the UNRATED directors cut on DVD!!!

I thought the family\'s acting was great. Very believable, especially the boy. I really enjoyed this movie. My fav. horror flick I\'ve seen in a long time. Very disturbing though.

I\'m really impressed the horror movies lately. Much more dark, serious and gory much like the old days of horror. Way better than the ones that came out in the 90\'s.

If you thought I believed the original came out in the 90\'s, I was talking about other horror movies that were released during that decade.
