So far...Live Blog Updates. ( from g4tv.com)The teaser trailer included the scene where Freddy gets burned and then after that a really dark montage of different scenes from the film.Sam Bayer is talking about how the audience will be "blown away" by Earle-Haley's performance. Fuller: This isn't an origin story, but you do get a backstory and a new mythology based on the originals. It is definitely scary Freddy. He is back to murdering sweet little children, lots of blood and gore. Freddy was the center of the trailer, even though you only got to see him here and there, but it was apparent that you could feel him in the room. They didn't show Freddy's face, unfortunately. They're saying the trailer could possibly be released shortly after Comic-Con.They confirmed that Robert Englund will NOT makea cameo. (sadface) Here's a rundown of the trailer: We see Krueger running...but he's a normal guy. Cars are chasing him through a rundown ghetto outside of town. The cars catch him, the Elm St. neighbors pile out of their cars...Krueger hides in a building, they set it on fire, he is burned... He runs out of the building completely engulfed in flames. Then it's a quick montage of the neighbors being terrorized, blood everywhere...funerals, girls playing..../blog. (all credit to g4tv.com)

FearNET states they also showed a death similar to Tina's in the original.

I am really excited about this movie. Shame about the no Englund cameo though. I hear that freddy will look more like a partially healed burn victim in this movie, hmm.

I really think it would throw it off. We've seen Robert's real face in several original Nightmares and to suddenly see him as a completely different character in this remake would, I think, take me out of the film knowing that he isn't Freddy.

Oh well...

Oh please... a live blogger at Comic Con said this, "Nightmare on Elm Street will have less weed in it that the new Friday the 13th. Disappointing."Disappointing? Weed has NO place in Nightmare. What a moron. Sometimes I hate modern horror fans...

I agree, people who don't understand the previous franchise never understand the things in the new ones
