Can you vaccuform greatstuff foam? I asked someone on another forum but he said the plastic would weld to the foam or the foam would start to melt because of the hot plastic<a href=\"http://hauntforum.com/showthread.php?t=11510&highlight=skull+wall\" target=\"_blank\">http://hauntforum.com/showthread.php?t=115...ight=skull+wall</a>Iwant to make something similar to that^^^^^^alot of homehaunters use greatstuff and a cheap blowmoulded walmart skull and make alot, that would be pricey considering a can is 7-10 bucksvaccuforming would be alot cheaper becuase my dad gets scrap plastic from his friends workwould it work though?- Aaron

As for the melting thing, find out the melting point of each and if one is less than the other the welding thing may not be an issue. Or if you can try it out on a small scale with a sample of each.

no ive tried it before it looks good you take a blow molded or any kind of cheap hollow skull, drill a hole spray the foam in cut the skull in half take out a foam negativeim going to be making alot so instead of using expensive sprayfoam, just use vaccuform if i need alot of them, my dad can get scrap plastic from his friends workthe point was to find a cheaper way to make lots of skulls instead hundreds of dollars in foam- Aaron

The link doesn't work but I read skull wall. For Vac Forming, you are going to need a plaster "Buck". What I would do is make a mold off of a skull you like(latex or silicone). Just the front half. Then run a bunch of plaster copies off. Then you can lay them how you want and vacform over them. There are skull walls out there that aren't too pricey. It would save a lot of headache, but I totally understand wanting to make stuff yourself.Pat

speaking of dog sh!t, ive used that greatstuff foam to make small piles of fake dog Sh!t, paint them differnt shades of brown and then spary a little clear semi gloss hear and thereto give it that fresh look.... set that fake sh!it in the floorboard of buddys car... put about three different piles on someones front stepsand set back and watch their reaction... <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/teehee.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":teehee:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"teehee.gif\" />

Some look at the insulating foams as harmless, but they can be hazardous as hell. In the construction biz, I've seen plenty of bad things happen from misuse of that stuff. The danger would be if there were a fire, or you hit the melting point were vapors would be released. Most foams are highly toxic when burned.Take DB's advise, make yourself some plaster skulls. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> Good luck,Jonny
