So I thought I would share my other hobby with you guys. Sorry for the bad pics but it is very hard to take pics with the type of lights I have to run to support the corals. In person everything is much brighter and more colorful. <a href=\"http://img690.imageshack.us/i/tankk.jpg/\" target=\"_blank\"><img src=\"http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/875/tankk.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /></a>

I'm running a very small reef tank refered to a nano tank which is supposed to be the hardest but I've never lost a fish or a coral. The only thing is in fresh water if you make a mistake you can replace it very cheap, in salt water it will cost you. I have some corals in that tank that cost me over $150 and its the size of a half dolar lol.

Great pics <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> <!--quoteo(post=338384:date=Nov 8 2009, 10:22 PM:name=Kyle)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE (Kyle @ Nov 8 2009, 10:22 PM) <a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=338384\"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecThat is awesome, I've always wanted to get into salt water tanks.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndSame here. I use to have African cichlids and Oscars and they where a pain to take care of so i thought salt would be twice as hard and costly. So i never got into it.-Jared

I had six tanks growing up when I lived with my parents and built a pond in their backyard. I still have the pond and two tanks at my parents. I live in a house now and currently have a oceanic 30 gallon cube that I set up at a goldfish tank because they are easy to care for and my son likes them (and inexpensive).

It can be expensive to start but you can find great deals on live rock and live sand on Craigs list.
