Ok I just got a new one yesturday but am having a tough time getting it online unlike the first system . I think it's right up to where it's trying to test it and then times out from not finding the IP address . Now if I go under "custom" , then i'd have to type in my IP but I wouldn't know where to find that at . Could anyone help me out with this so I don't have to call someone and spend a fortune ? lol mike,

Turn off your computer(s) and unplug your modem and router for 30 seconds and then plug them back in.Also update the firmware on your router if you haven't done so in awhile.

are you using wireless? Make sure wireless is enabled on the PS3 then turn it off along with the router and modem and try again. If your not wireless check your cables. PM me if you still cant get it to work I'm at work rite now but I'll try an get back to you as fast as possible.

will do . although i'm not crazy about the COD modern games very much . i prefer 1-3 but it's all good as it's going to be played online . The internet connection keeps failing so I don't know what's up with that lol .

I set mine up this weekend. I have to same problem with the internet connection failing every now and then. I thought it was gust a glitch in the cable net hookup. it hasn't been to bad but it's a little annoying.

Update the firmware in your router. When I first got my PS3 my connection kept going down. I updated the firmware for the router and haven't had a problem since

I agree with creeping dead. I was having issues losing connection a long time ago and then I updated the firmware and it was fine. Also everyone add me on PS3. My name is brettyboy85
