I love the cracks in the shell and chest . Makes it look likes he\'s already had some battles . Nice touch and prob. your best turtle yet :thumbsup: .

Here is the finished sculpture. I will take a final look before i mold him this weekend, but this is the finished piece. I used references of real turtles to give him scales, but didn\'t want them to be too distracting. Made the neck area under the chin a little thinner and did the wrinkles over the neck and shoulder area making sure to follow the form and the creases. Let me know what you think and any last minute critiques. Thanks for looking.

I like that. It seems very true to the characters while being a totally unique interpretation. I also like the nostrils. I\'ve rescued a lot of turtles off the hgihway recently and you have definitely given this real turtles features. Will you be putting a mask on his once it\'s molded and cast and painted?

Added a few scars to the face and brow area and also to the shoulder. Here is a pic of the face. Made the mold over the weekend and will be casting the 1st one this week. I will be doing the facemask but i am going to try a different method and material for it.

Here is a pic of the current paint work. I painted it last night and have taken a fresh eye to the piece. I want to make the skin slightly darker and break it up more with some brown splatter and maybe a few other details. Will post more when i finish and get him clearcoated.
The expression had raph in mind so he will be the first.

Really nice job all around on him Brian . But I just can\'t stop starring at how great the shell turned out lol . From the sculpt down to the paint . Just wow is all I can really say .
