well wouldn't the best way to find out if that's true or not is to ask Dick Warlock ? i thought he owned a part 4 or was that a 5 ? mike,

You can just clearly tell the scuff on the nose grows larger throughout the film. (and obvious other wear occurs throughout filming)Just something about the look of a clean part 3 is special to many collectors. Its really the only hockey mask that is perfectly clean with no damage. There for, it feels like a real hockey mask and feels very authentic/vintage.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndthere is no real "clean" verson on any shot from the films, including behind the scenes,production stills,etc.however, i agree with you 100% the clean version just has that vintage unused feel. it signifies the beginingof the image of jason that what we have all come to know and love through out the years. that is the first filmwe get to see him don the mask,he finally has his cal sign, and the scuffs, scratches, and other damage he endures throughout the series, to me are like badges of sorts.my clean Hockey Mask is my favorite too, just because of that very reason.
