My 2...It was bad ass. So glad to see the friday movies back to were they should have stayed...in the woods.Derek was great as Jason. Just wait until the unrated dvd, from the sounds it damn near a completely different cut than what we saw, not just a few extra scenes.

Why did Jason keep his mom's head in a hole in the bathroom wall? Personally instead of a sequel I would rather see a prequel showing what happened in 1980.

I loved it...I went to see a totally different take on the Friday movies...and thats exactly what it was. Asmuch as i liked the original series, they started to get boring towards the end. Part 8, JGTH, Jason X should NEVER have happened! I thought this one was great! Nice to have a totally different feel and soundtrack. Derek made a superb Jason.....But CJ will always be THE Jason!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I kind of think the whole ending scene where they take his body to the lake, dump it, and he jumps back up might not necessarily have been a reality but a 'dream' sequence.. Another nod or homage to the originals..
