I've done well with my current deals. Payment has been swift and I've been given appreciative PMs thanking me for fast delivery, etc. I am having some trouble on ebay with payment, but that's another subject...

I'm having an issue right now and have an open paypal dispute on it. The guy threw up a bunch of items to sell and I bought one and sent him the payment. Several days passed and then he finally posted another message saying he had "trouble with the law and wasn't home for a few days" but he would be sending them out and would PM us when it shipped. Another 5-6 days passed and no item or PM so I opened a paypal dispute. He PM'd me a couple of days after saying it was shipped out last week... but still no item. I'm assuming "last week" meant Saturday evening so I'm giving it 3-5 days to show up. But I'm not closing the paypal dispute until it arrives.

I think we do need some sort of feedback or rep system, I've seen other forums with a rep system installed. Secondly, I think people should be able to ask questions without their topic being locked and deleted, then again it only happens when the topic is about a mod. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"confused.gif\" />

We're considering deleting the goddamn classifieds. Unfortunately, the douchebags ripping people off here will just go to another forum and do the same things, so you guys lose no matter what. But at least we don't have to hear about it here.

When I was first selling things in the classifieds I had the same issue. I was trying to be nice and held a few masks with out even asking for a down payment. The masks were all ready to ship and all of the sudden the people that wanted them were waiting for pay checks, owed money ect.. then they fell off the face of the earth and didn't respond to emails. I was pissed and was able to sell them off the boards. It was my own fault for trying to be nice so I'll never do that again. I have to have the money first now and I want it in my paypal. I usually only sell or buy from people I know or people that have been on the boards for a while and seem to have never had any issues. So far that has been working.

no matter where you buy or sell something, be it ebay, a forum or classified newpaper ad. there will always be someone somewhere that will BS you or rip you off. its a shame but that's just the risk we take anytime you buy something or hold an item without some sort of deposit.as far as selling rules go. what about a 60 or 90 day period from join date in which they cant start thread in the classifieds and they have to be a fairly active member in the forum?? just a thought

justin having a classifieds section is a favor to us all, i think its still only part of the site because it was just the way of the mask site in the past...but if we dont have one here the only thing i see being apart of the whole scene is ppl reporting scammers from other sites...which would be fine with me cuz no sales would be happening here.

What I think sucks is that if you put up a persons name who has ripped you off, you get the feedback of how that guy never ripped me off so how dare you say such a thing about him. Good for you but for the rest of us that he has done this to it sucks big time and I think people should know about it. As for people backing out of buying, it is hated for the seller but some times life intervenes and the person doesnt have a choice in the matter, but they should let the seller know whats up.
