I'm incredibly happy that <i>Mickey Rourke</i> finally got a nomination, and I really hope he wins. I'm shocked and disappointed that <i>Bruce Springsteen</i>'s song 'The Wrestler' wasn't nominated for Best Original Song (and why are there only three songs nominated this year??). I would've loved to see a few nominations for <i>Clint Eastwood</i> as well. I think it's really cool that <i>Robert Downey Jr.</i> was nominated, althought I'm not sure if he really deserved it. Oh well, <i>Heath Ledger</i> will win in that category anyway. Oh, and did <i>Meryl Streep</i> really need another Oscar nomination?? <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":tongue:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> What are your thoughts and predictions?

I'm honestly not surprised by any of the announcements. It's pretty much a done deal for Heath's Joker now that they nominated him.I was actually sad to only see three films get nominated for visual effects. I was hoping Cloverfield would get a nod. The special effects in that film were insane.

I think Aaron Eckhart should've gotten nominated. Ledger only had to play a bad guy, Eckhart had to play both a hero and villain which I think is a more demanding job acting-wise.

Can't believe Clint Eastwood got snuffed! His last film most likely as an Actor and they couldn't even give him a nomination at least. Bunch of bastards.

I was glad to see Ledger in there and Eastwood and Jolie for <i>The Changeling</i>. However, I am disappointed to see Benjamin Button with 13 nominations. I don't think that movie was quite deserving of that. It was so much like Forest Gump I couldn't focus on the movie at hand. If you've seen it, <a href=\"http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/1d76506803/the-curious-case-of-forrest-gump-from-fgump44\" target=\"_blank\">check this out</a>. Also disappointed, like the last guy, to see that Gran Torino was basically ignored.
